The
association
SeaWilding is a non-profit association for the conservation, protection and restoration of marine ecosystems, established in 2025 in Catalonia. It operates as a facilitating node and knowledge broker, with an international outlook.
A knowledge broker, not just another actor
Our vision is to contribute to a future in which oceans are valued, protected and restored as a common heritage of humanity, through a transdisciplinary approach that integrates multiple knowledge systems and mobilises actors from every sector.
Our mission is to articulate collaboration networks between science, institutions, the private and financial sector, communication and citizens, translating evidence into policies, practices and narratives. As a knowledge broker we do not compete with direct research, litigation or mobilisation: we perform the integrative function that these actors, on their own, cannot fulfil.
How we conduct ourselves
Scientific rigour
Every strategic decision and every communication is grounded in verifiable evidence.
Transdisciplinarity and inclusion
We integrate diverse perspectives from multiple fields of knowledge and social sectors.
Respect and harmony with nature
The ocean is recognised as a subject of rights, not as a mere resource.
Transparency
All operations, agreements and commitments are carried out with the utmost transparency.
Urgency
The ocean crisis demands immediate and transformative responses, with the certainty —backed by evidence— that marine regeneration is possible.
The complete framework
The association's strategic framework, grounded in the Corporate Dossier, is set out in three sections.
Context
The ocean crisis as a meta-crisis, and the international scientific and regulatory frameworks of reference.
