SeaWilding drives and promotes the creation of a transnational, multidisciplinary working group for the conservation and restoration of the marine corridor that links the Gulf of Lion with the Bay of Pals.
The corridor is a single functional ecological unit, yet its knowledge and management are fragmented by borders that are not ecological. The working group brings together science, management, artisanal fishing and civil society from both sides of the border to harmonise baselines and co-design projects at corridor scale.
Underwater Gardens, Ecocean and the Fundació Alive have confirmed their participation, alongside a scientific core that includes, among others, Dr Purificació Canals, Philippe Lenfant (University of Perpignan), Hervé Magin (Parc Marin du Golfe du Lion) and Pascal Roman (Biodiversarium, Banyuls-sur-Mer MPA).
