The second edition returns to Barcelona from 28 to 30 October 2026, in a single auditorium and with no parallel sessions.
Why Barcelona
Barcelona was chosen for its solid record in ocean science research, backed by institutions of standing such as the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) and an outstanding university ecosystem, with the University of Barcelona and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
That convergence of scientific institutions, public commitment, infrastructure and maritime tradition makes the city the right setting to catalyse the international collaborations that ocean recovery requires. Anchoring the SeaWilding Conference in Barcelona is a strategic decision for the 2026-2030 period.

We will announce the auditorium together with the closing of the programme, in September 2026, along with practical information on access, public transport and accommodation.
